Hello and welcome to the official website of William Steffey!

Listen to and/or buy: "ROMANCE OF THE SPACEWAYS". The compact disc is now available for sale! Or, if you're in a digital mood, click over to iTunes and listen / download from there. The album is being played in regular rotation on commercial stations in the United States and University / Community radio in Canada, the UK, Japan, Nicaragua, Australia, Belgium, and other fine countries across planet earth. Pictured is the exterior of one of William's 5 Costa Rican affiliate stations, RADIO LOS SANTOS proudly represented by DJ W Chacon.

William joined forces with Israeli artist TROY for his upcoming single "Material" to be relesed on Tel Aviv's "Massus" label. Check back in the next few weeks to hear WS guitar against some positively sexy middle-eastern grooves.

THE PRESS IS IN: European review! The UK Student Radio Association made Romance of the Spaceways Album of the Week as well, and says "Steffey is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has delivered a versatile fusion of electronica and deep rock". Not bad for a simple Yank!

And Asia just behind...

Stateside, Lumino Magazine calls the cd "A sci-fi song cycle concerned with human frailty in a larger universe of possibilities." Pace Press NYC describes the music as "soothing rock with unbelievable lyrics". The Illinois Entertainer chimes in, calling the album "thought provoking" and "an impressive ambiance." For more praise (and pans), hop on over to the clippings section. Or take a minute to read a William Steffey Interview by Karen Kopacz of Mental Contagion.

Cover tune rampage: Since production for the next album is already finished, WS is using his free time to cover tracks by his own favorite artists. He started with the nutty Mancunian Morrissey & Marr's "Girlfriend In A Coma" (the bulletin about its removal sparked some confusion and mourning on the part of well-intentioned MySpacers. I'm not kidding.) Since's she's dead and gone, William then decided to resurrect the 1982 Thomas Dolby classic "Weightless". Currently online is Jane's Addiction's wonderfully self-destructive anthem I Would For You. It's highly unlikely these tracks will ever be formally released, so snatch them up whist you can! They're like happy-meal toys. Well, minus the corporate mess and mass animal-slaughter, but I guess that goes without saying.

Touch Romance: Next time you're out and about, punch up William Steffey into the nearest TouchTunes jukebox and select a track (or 28) from all 3 officially released cds. William personally thanks you for the penny. We'll talk about where the other 99 cents per play goes whenever the hell the Team Aquariphone agents are able to suss it out. Oh, let's not confuse the issue here, the label knowingly signed up for this with William's approval for purposes of exposure. But sitting at Tai's til 4 on Ashland the other night, Farmboy got to wonderin...

PODCAST LOOKOUT: Check out the new weekly webcast from our Japanese affiliates Baby Chris and Baby Michiko at Gone Fishing For Blue Skies. Or if you feel like a quick trip to Belgium, visit Hugues and Catherine's RadioQuartz.be ,which placed William's song "Molly Molly in its top 20 tracks of 2007.

NOW AVAILABLE: The new Voleurz dvd "More for The Astronauts" features the WS track World's Tallest Building, and is now available for sale. Check it!
